Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant
Step into Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant at 9813 Garvey Ave, El Monte, CA 91733, and you’ll immediately sense its unique charm. With a cozy interior, friendly staff, and the inviting aromas of Hue cuisine, this restaurant creates a genuine culinary experience. That sensory moment alone confirmed the restaurant’s commitment to authentic regional dishes crafted with care.
Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant Showcases Hue Specialties That Tell a Story
The Hue specialties menu at Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant offers rich flavors and cultural depth. Take Bún Bò Huế (Small): this spicy beef noodle soup is an iconic dish of central Vietnam. I’ve observed professional chefs emphasize the perfect balance of spiciness, lemongrass, and tender beef slices—an approach carefully followed here. Adding to the authenticity, dishes like Bánh Bèo Chen (C)—steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp and scallions—capture the art of Hue street food.
From an expert perspective, maintaining broth consistency and flavor harmony requires precise simmering times and ingredient freshness. Studies on Southeast Asian soups show that long simmers deepen flavor while preserving nutrient density. That attention to detail is evident in every spoon at this restaurant.
Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant Invites You to Discover New Item Creations
Beyond tradition, Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant ventures into innovation with a New Item menu blending modern tastes with classic roots. Consider Cơm Chiên Âm Phủ Huế (Tôm)—a fiery shrimp fried rice dish infused with region‑specific spices and topped with crisp shallots. I recently tried it and noticed the complex layering of textures: soft rice, crunchy shallots, succulent shrimp—each bite delivered multi-dimensional flavor.
Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant Delivers Refreshing Beverages and Dessert Options
To complete the meal, the Beverages section includes house picks like Soda Sữa Hột Gà—a creamy, fizzy drink that perfectly complements spicy fare—and cool treats like Da‑Uá for soothing comfort. Kim Hoa Hue Restaurant Reviews
Wanted something soupy as my breakfast and stopped by this place. Very hole in the wall, but food was ok. When you arrive there is parking at the back, but it is one way. To-go says it's $12 for banh canh.... they charged me $14 dine in. Haven't had banh canh like this before, pretty ok. I'd rate it a 6.5/10. The lady was nice. Came right when they opened and they brought out this dish within 10 minutes. Bathroom didn't have toilet seat covers but may need some attention.
El Monte location is still open and functioning. Came here for the bun bo hue and banh canh, both very delicious. Came out piping hot and super flavorful! The portion sizes here are really good. We both got large and could not finish. Service was a bit slow but we came just a little after they opened, so understandable.
Good bún bò Huế, very tasty, by the way the store had moved to Temple city, no longer in El Monte, better location seem like a brand new building . Bánh bèo is so good, thicken, and very flavor.
Very Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in SGV located at Temple City area... it's a very convenient parking place and shown a good sign that you won't miss when you enter Temple City from San Gabriel. There are mostly Vietnamese customers since they are shown mainly in Vietnamese menu items. A small description in English underneath the menu items... I ordered a Nem Lui, means Shrimp paste with veggies n herbs, plus on the side with Rice Papers. You have to do it yourself... tasty especially in the summer with a hot weather!! They have been selling a lot of appetizers, new items of snacks, plus phos ....
I'm so happy they reopened this location. I know they have an other new location more north in SGV. Best bun Bo hue in the land. Great portions and their price standard to other noodle shops. Quality broth and house made chili sauce and fish balls.
